It's a good excuse to buy new kit, anyway, and I can never resist that. Have just invested in a Carradice Pendle. (Retro tourer look to match the beauty of the Brooks-saddled, steel-framed Fratello. Couldn't really be anything but a Carradice, could it?)
Seriously considering that return journey. I'm really not going to be enjoying waiting for the coach. (Or exposing the beautiful bike to the trip in a furniture van. So cycling to Ipswich definitely makes sense. Train goes straight to Cambridge from there. But after 120 miles...?
One friend is cycling there and back. That's nothing short of insane.
