"Dude, I'm on the phone to my Mooom!"
Thanks to mustardkid's rather provocative take on massively multiplayer online game EVE Online, last Monday's batch of reader reviews spurred a huge influx of submissions, none of which, curiously, were glowing tributes to EVE Online. This week Lutz continues his quest to review more games than we do, turning his attention back to the epoch-defining Elite in our Star Review, earning a - looks around desperately - pair of socks and a biro for his troubles (Lutz: we'll talk). Elsewhere theheadcharge also takes us back - to the birth of the Tomb Raider franchise, with a reminder that Lara Croft used to be great, while David Beamish discusses GameCube multiplayer freebie Pac-Man Vs., which was my favourite thing at E3 2003 with the possible exception of the crazy Mexicans who taught Rupert how to swear at ho's. Finally, a chap by the name of Tannerd... well... rips into another massively multiplayer game. Does nobody like these things? Come on, how about some tales of lives lost in the loving arms of a lizard woman from Winsconsin?
Reader Reviews should be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org, and can be written about anything you like - hardware, games, peripherals - even if we've already written about it. In fact, that's kind of the point! Your word limit is 300 although we'll tolerate a bit of overflow if you can string words together nicely, and please try to keep it clean and legal. Just like we do for you! The best candidate each week will receive a random bit of game-related tat (possibly even an actual game) as a prize. Lucky, lucky you. And of course, your work will be displayed for all to see.
