Zombie Apocalypse this week

On PSN and XBLA, silly.

Konami plans to release Zombie Apocalypse this week: Wednesday on Xbox Live Arcade and Thursday on the PlayStation Network.

PS3 buyers will fork out the equivalent of $10, while Xbox 360 users will be asked for 800 Microsoft Points (£6.80 / €9.60).

Zombie Apocalypse is a two-stick, top-down, co-op shooter - a bit like Monster Madness, Rocketmen: Axis of Evil and Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3.

The idea, simply, is to survive the zombie apocalypse, by running around and laying waste to the shambling baddies. There are 11 different weapons to do this with, including a flamethrower and chainsaw, and a total of 55 days (levels) to last for. Survive to unlock some extra and challenging game modes.
