Zelda - Kuhn Sidajj and Trial of Second Sight solution in Breath of the Wild

How to find and beat Kuhn Sidajj and Trial of Second Sight.

Kuhn Sidajj is one of the many shrines located throughout Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Found in the Woodland region, you'll need to tackle the Trial of Second Sight challenge to complete it.

If you need help finding and solving other Shrines, our Shrine location maps page can help, while our Zelda: Breath of the Wild walkthrough and guide covers other aspects of the game.

How to start Trial of Second Sight

After getting the Master Sword and speaking to Chio in front of the Deku Tree to get the The Korok Trials sidequest, you learn about the three shrines across the forest. The one we're discussing here is the one to the south west, Trial of Second Sight.

Leave the Korok Forest by the south west exit. This is not to be confused by the way back out to the canyon that takes you to the Lost Woods; instead, when facing that exit, go right and you'll find another with large followed-out trunks and bean sprout lights outside.

Head down the passage, and on a boulder to your left is a Korok, who will give you the trial.

How to complete Trial of Second Sight and find Kuhn Sidajj

The hint given is hungry trees will show you the way, with iron as your guide.

This means you must use Magnesis to detect the iron boulders lodged in the trees to reach the shrine.

Hop off the boulder and look straight ahead from where you emerged from Korok Forest, and activate the Magnesis rune. The first should be in the tree straight ahead.

The second should be straight ahead beyond that, slightly to the left.

The third is a little tricky, again in the distance ahead but more off to the right and over a mound in the distance. Angle the camera until you can see it.

The fourth is ahead and slightly left, up another mound two trees ahead.

The fifth is two trees ahead, just to the right.

Upon visiting the fifth, you'll be ambushed by undead enemies. Turn 90 degrees right to see the sixth on a tree to the right.

The seventh is straight on from there, can't miss it.

From there you can see another metal object in the distance - this is a shield embedded into the top of a rock.

Read the notice surrounded by the torches behind, tell you to move the shield into the mouth of the tree. Do with Magnesis to spawn a chest in another tree by the side of a lake, just to your right.

Head over, open the chest to get Amber, and use Magnesis to move the chest onto the nearby raft (this will become clear why in a moment). Use a Korok Leaf (there are some floating in the water) and move the raft to the island closeby.

Reading the notice here tells you to feed the mouth with the chest that just spawned - so use Magnesis to grab the chest from the raft you just placed it on, and into the tree.

Doing so will spawn the Shrine and complete the Trial of Second Sight quest. Head over to the shrine and pop down.

There is no trial in here, with just a chest containing a Giant Ancient Core. Now approach the altar and get your Spirit Orb.

Don't forgot to complete the other Trials, Daag Chokah, and Maag Halan. Doing all three will give you some Hearty Truffles as a sidequest reward.

While you're here, here are other Shrines within this region:
