Xbox One Diablo 3 will now also run at 1080p

A day-one patch will bring the Xbox One version of Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition from 900p to 1080p, Blizzard has revealed.

"The game will be available [in] 1080p on both the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One," Blizzard's Tiffany Wat told GameSpot. "Native 1080p resolution. You will need to download the day-one patch for the Xbox One to get that support, but it will be there. We're very happy about that."

Wat didn't say what the reason was for the bump, although presumably it has much to do with Microsoft recently allowing developers more Xbox One power previously reserved for Kinect.

Both versions of the game will run at a silky 60fps.

Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition arrives very soon - 19th August - on PS3 and Xbox 360 as well as PS4 and Xbox One. You can transfer existing Diablo 3 PS3 and Xbox 360 save-files to either new console.
