Xbox Live maintenance

Xbox Live is down! Xbox Live is down! Fortunately we have Major Nelson to explain why, which he does by telling us that maintenance is being conducted until 1pm GMT (2pm BST).
Before you get excited though, that's scheduled maintenance rather than a smokescreen for introducing new features. "There will not be a dashboard update waiting for you," says the Major.
"This is scheduled maintenance only," he adds. "After all we need to get ready for [Halo 3], right?"
As the man who posted the first comment put it: "ok".
