Xbox 360 system update fixes colour problems

Back to black.

An Xbox 360 system update has rolled out to fix the colour problems caused by the recent dashboard update.

Grey, the stuff of Black's nightmares.

"In this update, we are providing a fix to a colour issue that some were experiencing, and it will be immediately notable in the dashboard," revealed Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb, director of programming for Xbox Live.

"The fix is also being applied by partners to their apps on Xbox Live, which we expect to roll out over the coming months."

Digital Foundry investigated this colour problem in December, and found that the autumn dashboard update was forcing videos to run with limited RGB colour. This led to colours being washed out and, puke, black colours becoming grey!
