Watch Lightning as Final Fantasy 7's Aeris

First Cloud. Now Aeris. Who's next? Red XIII?

You can dress Final Fantasy 13 star Lightning up as Aeris/Aerith Gainsborough, the healer from Final Fantasy 7, in Lightning Returns.

Square Enix has yet to announce the costume for the West, but Final Fantasy Network spotted gameplay footage of Lightning wearing Aeris' trademark pink dress, flowers accessory and staff in a stream, and, helpfully, posted it on YouTube. There it is below.

What is confirmed for the West is the ability to dress Lightning up as Final Fantasy's Cloud, complete with Buster Sword. To get the Cloud outfit you need to pre-order the limited edition Steelbook version of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13, which comes with a downloadable content token. With it you unlock Cloud Strife's gear from Final Fantasy 7, including his Buster Sword and Soldier's Band. It even recreates his victory pose and fanfare.

In Japan the Aeris costume comes with the V Jump magazine strategy guide for the game.
