Warren Spector to pen Duck Tales comics

A-whoo-hoo.

Deus Ex creator Warren Spector has unveiled his first post-Epic Mickey project: a new series of Duck Tales comics.

Written by Spector, illustrated by Disney mainstay Miquel Pujol and published by BOOM!, issue one will hit the shops in May. Judging by the decidedly glorious cover below, the whole gang are back: Huey, Duey, Louie and treasure-hungry miser Scrooge McDuck.

"You want ducks? Oh, do we have ducks!" promised brilliantly-named BOOM! marketing chief Chip Mosher.

"We're taking you back to one of the most celebrated Disney Afternoon series ever aired! And with a creative powerhouse like Warren Spector and fantastic art from Miquel Pujol, this series is sure to be jam-packed with duck adventures no Duck Tales fans will want to miss!"

Spector's last effort, Epic Mickey, arrived on Wii late last year to middling reviews. Despite selling well over a million copies in its first month on shelves, publisher Disney Interactive last month announced a round of redundancies at his Junction Point studio
