Vita YouTube app launches in US today

European roll-out tomorrow?

Vita finally gets a YouTube app in the US today, Sony has revealed.

According to a post on the PlayStation Blog, it's available to download now from the PS Vita Store, free-of-charge.

It does pretty much everything you'd guess a Vita YouTube app would do - there are daily recommended clips, a search function, a viewing history and a favourites list.

Videos can be watched either in small screen SD mode, or in full screen HD.

A European roll-out should follow on tomorrow, but then SCEE doesn't always follow that kind of logic. That said, earlier this month the EU PlayStation Blog promised the app would be available on this side of the pond some time in late June.

We're chasing confirmation and will update asap.
