Vine is now an Xbox One app

Trendy video app debuts on the "big screen."

Popular video app Vine has launched on Xbox One, Microsoft has announced.

This marks the first time the app that allows you to make six-second videos has been designed specifically for the "big screen."

This console version of Vine has different channels to browse like Art, Music & Dance, Comedy and playlists you can curate. Additionally, you can use the "snapped" feature to watch Vines picture-in-picture next to games if that's your bag.

Vine on Xbox One is available in the following countries: United Kingdom, United States, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Denmark, Finland, France, Hong Kong, Hungary, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, and Turkey.

Remember when 'big screen' used to mean the movie theatre? Now it just means TV since mobile has become so ubiquitous. Old man grumble, grumble...
