Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection 500GB & 1TB PS4 bundles for Europe

UPDATE: no price drop, Sony confirms.

UPDATE 22nd September 2015: Sony has told Eurogamer the release of the Uncharted bundles does not mean an official price drop for the console. Rather, it's a promotional price that won't be around forever.

Here's a statement sent over by Sony:

UPDATE 18/09: Sony has confirmed European plans to Eurogamer and the good news is that we'll get both 500GB and 1TB bundles. Both consoles also appear to be the new, revised PS4 hardware - the C-Series that's quieter and more power efficient. A close-up of the bundles shows model number CUH-1216A on the 500GB unit, and model number CUH-1216B on the 1TB unit, which indicates both are of the new 1200 series.

The bundles arrive 9th October along with the game. The 500GB bundle is £299.99, the 1TB bundle £329.99.

As Digital Foundry tells me, if the product code starts CUH-12xxx, it's the new version. The "xxx" variations aren't pornography, they refer to smaller differences such as HDD size. It's CUH-11xxx and CUH-10xxx you want to watch out for. The recent Ultimate Player Edition 1TB PS4 is the older CUH-11xxx model.

CUH-1216A - AKA the new one.
And one Terry bites.

ORIGINAL STORY 07/09: Sony will release a 500GB PlayStation 4 bundle themed around The Nathan Drake Collection of Uncharted games.

As it stands it's only confirmed for the US, for release day and date with Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection on 9th October. There, it will cost $400. We asked Sony Europe what was happening here and will let you know when we do.

The Nathan Drake Collection packs Uncharted PS3 games one-to-three, and developer Bluepoint - an expert at this kind of thing - has gone to significant lengths remaking the award-winning games for PS4. We were very impressed with what we saw recently.

In addition to all the visual and performance improvements there will be two new difficulty settings - one extra easy (Explorer Mode), one extra hard (Brutal Difficulty Mode) - a Speed Run Mode and a Photo Mode.
