Uncharted 4 - Chapter 14: Join Me in Paradise
Nate and Sam explore the ruins of a lost city in this chapter, with treasure locations, conversations and journal notes to find.
In this chapter, we arrive at the legendary lost pirate city of Libertalia, and there's lots of exploring to do. On this page we've got a full walkthrough for the chapter, including a guide to where to find treasure, along with optional conversations and journal entries.
This chapter starts with another fairly open area with multiple ways through. Your ultimate goal is the large building in the distance, but for now make your way to the far right of the area to find a small sunken square and head into the building in the back left corner, climb behind the broken stairs, and clamber over the bookcase.
(Note: Unlike in the rest of the game, the treasures in this area aren't all listed in the menu in the order you'll find them, so if it looks like you missed loads, don't worry.)
- Treasure: Carved Horn Bird Sculpture - From your starting location, turn right and climb through the hole in the wall. Drop to the other side and the item is on the lower end of the wagon.
- Optional Conversation: Speak to Sam on the wooden platform below.
- Journal Note: From the starting location, head forwards slightly to the right towards a lamppost behind a large wagon, then head forwards to find some handholds in the gap between two buildings. Climb up and in through the window to find this on a table. (This is the upper floor of the blacksmith.)
- Optional Conversation: Sit on the chair in the large building to the left nearest your starting location. Keep pressing [TRIANGLE] when prompted.
- Optional Conversation: Examine the sword in the blacksmiths in the right side of the area, then talk to Sam.
- Journal Entry: Examine the horse skeleton in the stables opposite the blacksmith.
- Optional Conversation: Talk to Sam after examining the horse.
- Journal Entry: Examine the stone slab just past the stable.
- Journal Entry: Examine the skull and crossbones on the back of Avery's statue.
- Journal Entry and Optional Conversation: Talk to Sam when he sticks his head in the stocks near Avery's statue.
- Treasure: Mughal Vase - On a barrel in the small room at the rear left of the ground floor of the building, just to the left of the steps leading down to Avery's statue.
- Treasure: Ancient Stone Pot - In one of the jail cells in the building in the far corner of the area with Avery's statue.
Head under the ramp and follow the passageway. Look at the map, examine the skull and crossbones on the wall, and then climb the ladder. Take the left fork and follow it into a ruined church.
- Treasure: Painted Copper Bottle - Take the right fork and it's on the ground at the end.
Head to the back and use your rope to lower yourself down the well and swing across to the wooden platform. Quickly head forwards and drop down to the undergrowth below, as the area is swarming with enemies. Because of the layout, a stealthy approach is tricky to pull off, but however you tackle it, clear the area of foes.
Once it's safe, head upstairs in the building at the far left and grab the sniper rifle - more enemies will appear on the far side, so pick them off quickly and then turn around, as one will be trying to flank you. When it's clear again, swing across to the far side, cross the planks, turn left in the building ahead, and drop down inside.
- Journal Note: On the table directly in front of you.
- Treasure: Mughal Jade Bottle - On the porch above the door after you exit the room. Use the handholds on the wall to the right of the door and shimmy left.
Head outside and jump across to the other side, make your way through the room, and jump to the lamp post outside. Move round it and jump to the wall ahead and climb over the top. There are a couple of enemies right in front of you, but if you've still got the sniper rifle, they shouldn't prove difficult. Climb the building and use your rope to swing to the far side and fight off a few more bad guys - there'll be a couple of heavy-armour wearing shotgunners, so be extra careful.
When the coast is clear, head for the building on the far right and boost Sam up, then climb up after him. Jump across the gap, turn left, and open the door. Shimmy along the narrow wooden planks and climb round the corner of the building, then head inside. Climb the ladder, over the wall, up and right, then back inside. Climb as high as you can and then leap across to the other wall and rejoin the ladder, climb onto the roof, and make your way to the very end of the wooden platform extending over the edge so you can use your rope to swing across.
- Treasure: Slipjoint Claspknife - After climbing the stone steps, turn right and jump from the ledge, then quickly fire your rope at the anchor to the right. Swing into the back of the overgrown room and the item is on a chest inside.
Drop down and climb through the open window. Swing across the gap and head right to find another pole to swing from.
- Treasure: Large Bronze Boar: Instead of heading right, head left into the small room. The boar is in the desk inside.
Once you're across, climb through the hole in the wall and slide down the slope. Head for the far left and make your way along the passageway until you emerge in a large area with a load of stuff piled in the middle.
- Treasure: Stout Vase: Before heading left, climb the stairs to the right, jump over the gap, and grab this from the desk.
- Optional Conversation: Explore near the entrance for a bit then speak to Sam when he bends down to examine a body.
- Treasure: Mughal Jade Bottle - In the covered part in the far right of the area, next to a knocked over chair.
Head to the far side of the courtyard, climb the steps, pull the lever to the left of the door, and then shove it open with brute force to end the chapter.
