UK Wii price drops below £100

Do you still want one?

The shop-price of a Wii console has dropped below £100 for the very first time.

Asda, Game and Gamestation are the first outlets to sell the Mario Kart bundle for £99.99 - a price that applies in shops and online.

Nintendo announced a drop in the Wii trade-price earlier this month. The Mario-maker estimated that shops would, from today, sell Wii bundles from £130.

Other new online shop prices:

  • Amazon 119.99 (White), £99.99 (Black)
  • Tesco 109.00
  • HMV 114.99
  • Play.com 119.99
  • ShopTo 119.99

Nintendo also introduces a budget range of Wii games today called Nintendo Selects.

Games included in the promotion are Wii Sports, WarioWare: Smooth Moves, Mario Strikers: Charged Football and Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City.
