UK PC gamers denied Mafia II CE

Moan and we'll break your legs.

2K will not release the PC version of the Mafia II Collector's Edition in the UK, the publisher has confirmed to Eurogamer.

No explanation was offered.

The PC version of the Collector's Edition will be released in North America and many European countries, as detailed by 2K Games' senior manager of interactive marketing Elizabeth Tobey.

The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions will be released in the UK.

So, what are UK PC gamers missing out on?

Each CE will feature a metallic SteelBook case, a hardback art book, a soundtrack and a map.

On top of that, "select UK retailers" will provide free downloadable content to those who pre-order the Collector's Edition. The DLC will get you two new luxury cars and two suits.

"By offering downloadable content and special editions of Mafia II, we are able to show our appreciation for those guys wise enough to reserve their copies early," said 2K president Christoph Hartmann in May.

Before you head out the door with your pitchforks, know that there's always the Digital Deluxe Edition of Mafia II, which is available for pre-order at "select retailers" and Steam now.

Mafia II will be released on 27th August. Visit the gamepage for all there is to know.
