Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed tomahawk is a foamy

Connor bargain?

Another game-inspired tomahawk, only this time it's for Assassin's Creed 3 and, unlike the Medal of Honor tomahawk, couldn't cut a cucumber.

That's because it's made out of silly old foam. But it's a convincing replica of the axe that AC3 hero Connor will mutilate people with, and it costs €42.49. Jinx is the shop stocking it.

This is an officially licensed bit of kit.

The Medal of Honor tomahawk was real - an actual real tomahawk weapon. EA had done deals with gun makers, knife makers and combat apparel makers to create MOH-branded items, and sell them to raise money for war veterans as part of the Project Honor initiative.

The Medal of Honor website linked through to the affiliate stockers - a bond that raised eyebrows as people questioned the sanity of a realistic war game enticing its fans to buy replica weaponry.
