Twisted Metal for PS3 in 2011

New Nuke mode, 16-player online.

Sony has shown off the rumoured new Twisted Metal title for PlayStation 3 at its E3 conference and said it will be out in 2011.

Eat Sleep Play's David Jaffe and Scott Campbell arrived on stage in an ice cream truck kitted out for car combat and walked the audience through an on-stage demo of the game, which features 16-player online, and 2-4 player split-screen.

There's a new objective-based mode to get to grips with called Nuke, and the emphasis will be on fighting factions - the Sweettooth faction and the Dolls. More, we were told, will be revealed this year - and indeed this week as the game is on display at the E3 show.
