Twin-stick bullet-hell dungeon crawler Enter the Gungeon is heading to Switch next week
With a slightly longer wait for Europe.
Dodge Roll Games has announced that its fab twin-stick bullet-hell dungeon crawler Enter the Gungeon will release on Switch starting next week.
Why "starting", you ask? Well, for whatever reason, Enter the Gungeon's launch will be staggered across different eShop territories. North America will get it first on Thursday December 14th, while Europe and Japan will be graced with its presence on Monday December 18th and Thursday December 21st respectively.

If you've yet to be acquainted with Enter the Gungeon, it might help to imagine something like The Binding of Isaac with military-grade experimental munitions. Eurogamer contributor Simon Parkin, however, likened it to a "twin-stick Spelunky" in his Recommended review.
"This is a game shaped by current fashions," he said, "the procedural generation, the M83-style soundtrack, the streamer-friendly novelty of each playthrough. Yet it evades derivation through its vibrancy of character and imagination. Even within the hoariest cliché of the video game gun, Enter the Gungeon shows that there are fresh wonders to be found."
There's no word on price for the Switch version yet, but it hopefully won't stray too far from the £11 it costs on Xbox One and PS4. And while we wait for final details, why not wave your ears in the direction of Enter the Gungeon's excellent soundtrack?
