Everything you need to know about the skater stats in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2.

There are stat points hidden throughout nearly every level in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 and, if you want to use these points, then you'll need to find the locations for each one.

Stat points and how to find them in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 explained

Stats in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 are what determine each skater's, be it a pro skater or a Create-A-Skater skater, abilities, which covers everything from how fast they can skate to how high they can jump.

There are a total of 10 stats for you to invest in:

  • Air - Your jump height out of a halfpipe
  • Hangtime - How long you stay in the air
  • Ollie - How high you jump on flat ground
  • Speed - Your top speed on the ground
  • Spin - How fast you can spin in the air
  • Switch - When maxed out, you skate equally well switch and regular
  • Flip Speed - How fast your flip tricks will turn
  • Rail Balance - How well you balance on rails
  • Lip Balance - How well you balance during lip trick stalls
  • Manual Balance - How well you balance during manuals

Investing in these stats will help your chosen skater perform more tricks, grab more air, grind for longer and generally be better at skateboarding. To do this, however, you'll need stat points.

You can find stat points in nearly every level in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 and unlike other collectibles, such as the skate letters, stat points will appear for every skater even if they've already been collected by another.

This means that if you've collected every stat point while playing as Tony Hawk, but then switch to Aori Nishimura, you'll have to collect the stat points all over again.

The exact location of each stat point depends on the skating style for each skater, with there being three skating styles in total - Park, Street and Vert.

Below you can find which skaters use which skating style:

Park style skaters:

  • Lizze Armanto
  • Ripper
  • Shane O'Neill

Street style skaters:

  • Andrew Reynolds
  • Aori Nishimura
  • Chad Muska
  • Elissa Steamer
  • Eric Koston
  • Geoff Rowley
  • Jamie Thomas
  • Kareem Campbell
  • Leo Baker
  • Leticia Bufoni
  • Nyjan Huston

  • Tyshawn Jones

Vert style skaters:

You decide the skating style of any character made using Create-A-Skater, so just remember, or check, which one you picked before going stat point hunting!

How to use stat points in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2

Once you've collected a couple of stat points in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2, you're going to want to spend them.

To do this head to the Skater menu and select the Stats submenu.

Here you can see how many stat points you have available and can decide them out across the 10 different stats.

Each individual stat can have a maximum of 10 stat points assigned to it and these points are never locked in, which means you're free to move the stat points around as much as you like.

The only restriction is that you can go below the base requirement any of the pro skaters have for a certain stat. This means that since Tony Hawk begins the game with four points in Manual Balance, he must always have four points in Manual Balance.

If you're stuck on a certain trick or challenge, then it's a good idea to have a play around with the stats, because that could be what's really holding you back.

Finally, stat points are not restricted by which game you collect them in, so be it Pro Skater 1 or 2, you'll be able to use whichever stat points you find.
