Tomb Raider DLC will be entirely multiplayer-based

No more single-player tombs to raid.

Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics has "no plans" to expand the game's single-player campaign.

Lara Croft's upcoming DLC schedule will be entirely devoted to Tomb Raider's multiplayer mode, global brand director Karl Stewart revealed in a Reddit AMA (thanks, Videogamer).

"There are currently no plans in place for any single player expansions," Stewart commented. "All of our DLC is based around the multiplayer experience for now."

It's a shame, as the amount of actual tombs in the final game is rather limited.

The puzzle-based side-areas are some of the adventure's highlights, but all are optional. You can go through the entire game without ever venturing inside.

Swathes of the island's map are still blank upon completing the game, leading some players to suggest they were being saved for exploration in new add-ons.

Tomb Raider's Caves and Cliffs add-on is already available for Xbox 360 players, priced 400 Microsoft Points (£3.40). It adds another three multiplayer maps.
