There's a Mega Man 11 demo available now on Switch, Xbox One, and PS4

And say hello to Bounce Man.

Capcom has released a demo for its upcoming side-scrolling retro revival Mega Man 11, and it's available to download now on Switch, Xbox One, and PS4.

Mega Man 11's demo offers a single level's worth of cavorting from the final game - the pyramid stage that's been shown off regularly in early promotional material - and includes three difficulties modes, so that both newcomers and old-hands can fully appreciate the action. There's also a taste of Mega Man 11's additions, including the new Double Gear system, and the whole thing culminates in a showdown with Block Man.

This masonry obsessed robot is also the subject of a demo-based community event; whenever a sufficient number of players beats Block Man during the demo, a portion of his statue (pictured below) will be chipped away. If the whole thing comes down before launch, all demo players will be rewarded a selection of "single-use items" that can be redeemed in the full game.

Presumably Capcom will update this image on social media.

To coincide with its demo announcement, Capcom has also revealed another boss and stage for Mega Man 11 - both of which appear in the trailer above. Former exercise instructor Bounce Man can be found at the end of Boing-Boing Park, and successfully defeating him provides access to the Bounce Ball. With this, Mega Man can fire three rubber balls ahead, each one bouncing off walls and enemies it comes into contact with.

Mega Man 11 comes to Xbox One, PS4, Switch, and PC on October 2nd.
