The Power Glove documentary launches a Kickstarter

It's so bad.

Last year we wrote about The Power of Glove, an in-development documentary focusing on Nintendo's most comically inept gaming peripheral: The Power Glove. It looks like the movie's budget fell a little short at the 11th hour and the filmmakers behind it have launched a Kickstarter campaign asking for $15K to finish the film.

The Power of Glove will focus on the goofy controller's genesis, the hype behind it, and how it's been re-purposed for art installations and the chiptune scene.

$10 will get backers a link to the full film when it's done, along with a wallpaper, and $25 pledges will net backers the same in addition to some exclusive bonus features.

This is far from the first video game-themed documentary that's emerged from Kickstarter, as the critically acclaimed Indie Game: The Movie was borne of not one, but two Kickstarter campaigns, while Two-Player Productions financed Mojang: The Story of Minecraft via Kickstarter, before moving on to become Double Fine's in-house documentary team following another well known Kickstarter.

The Power of Glove has currently only raised $926 of its $15K goal, but it only just launched and has 29 days to go before its 4th September deadline.
