The Last of Us Part 2 - Pushing Inland: All items and how to explore every area explained

How to complete Pushing Inland and find everything along the way.

Pushing Inland follows on from The Last of Us Part 2's 2425 Constance chapter.

This chapter sees the action switch to Ellie as she makes her way through Santa Barbara.

Though it feels like we are towards the end of the journey, there are still missable items to find along the way - which this page explains how to find.

Pushing Inland in Last of Us Part 2

Before you leave the boat, grab the Abby's Note Artefact from the side.

Now go along the beach, past the cave and up the cliffs. Part way you need to go to the left side and leap across some gaps.

Keep following the route until you come to a wooden walkway. Crawl underneath then round to get on top, then continue going to a fence.

You can jump over it on the left side.

Hug the right wall now to a house with infected outside. Deal with it, then enter the garage by the red removal truck.

Inside are supplies and the Mansion Note Artefact.

There are still more infected out there, so go right from this house and deal with them as you go.

Eventually you'll come to an open van with some supplies in the back. Beyond that is a partly destroyed wall, which is where to go next.

Go past the fountain and around the house to see a Clicker on the roof.

Deal with it, then climb up the car and into the upper windows of the house.

Go right here, through the bathroom and out into a nautical-themed bedroom.

On the desk to the left is the CBB-73 Trading Card.

Mansion infected encounter in Pushing Inland

Now return to the landing where you entered the house, and drop into the floor.

There are various infected here - two shamblers and two stalkers. If you go right into a dining room, there should be a shambler in the kitchen.

Place trip mines in the doorways of the dining area, and start attacking the kitchen shambler. This should draw the others to you, taking most of them out in the process, leaving you to pick the remaining off.

Once done, search the house for supplies. In the kitchen is the Runaway Warning Artefact on the middle table.

There's also a Workbench to the side.

When ready to leave, go to the living room, then out through one of the open windows.

Continue on, under the wall, then to the edge of the cliff for a view.

Press L3 to look out, recording a Journal Entry.

Go left along the road, then down the slope to the right.

There's an upturned vehicle on the way down with some supplies.

When you reach the cliff above the house, turn left and continue onward.

A little further along, infected will be below. Take them out.

Keep going down the slope towards the building, and more infected. Now slide in-between the van and the caravan for a cutscene, and the end of the chapter.
