The Last of Us Part 2 gets new June release date
And Ghost of Tsushima is out in July.
Sony has revealed new release dates for the previously delayed Last of Us 2 Part 2 and Ghost of Tsushima, both of which are now scheduled to arrive on PlayStation 4 this summer.
The Last of Us Part 2 was previously expected to launch on 29th May, but Sony opted to delay release "until further notice" last month, as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. At the time, developer Naughty Dog explained it was "faced with the reality that due to logistics beyond our control, we couldn't launch The Last of Us Part 2 to our satisfaction."
However, Sony has now confirmed a revised launch date of 19th June for The Last of Us Part 2, meaning series fans will only have to attempt to avoid the internet for eight weeks in order to avoid spoilers following the massive Last of Us Part 2 leak seen this weekend.
As for Sony's other newly announced release date revision, Ghost of Tsushima - developer Sucker Punch's samurai-themed third-person action-adventure - is now scheduled to arrive on 17th July, three weeks after its originally planned 26th June launch.
As you may have seen, Ghost of Tsushima is moving out just a few weeks to July 17.

Sharing the news on Twitter, Sucker Punch said, "There have certainly been challenges in adapting to game development in a Work From Home environment, but thanks to an incredible effort by our worldwide team, Ghost is nearly ready for release... There are a few finishing touches to apply and bugs to squash - so we'll put these extra couple weeks to good use."
Sony has yet to offer a new release date for Iron Man VR, which saw its launch postponed at the same time as The Last of Us Part 2.
