The first episode of Resident Evil Revelations 2 is now free to download on PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
Penal Colony (no laughing at the back) opens the series by introducing Moira Burton, daughter of fan favourite Resident Evil 1 survivor Barry Burton.
Moira now works with fellows series stalwart Claire Redfield, and naturally both are swiftly captured and imprisoned on a remote and enemy-filled island. Bad things ensue.
Resident Evil Revelations 2 originally launched earlier this year and was praised for its episodic take on the survival horror series.
Far from the over-the-top action scenes in Resi 5 and 6, this returns the franchise to its quietly sinister roots - and takes plenty of inspiration from the series' high watermark of Resident Evil 4.
