SEGA has pinned down 8th February for the release of arcade shooter The Club, providing it with sure footing in the "early 2008" sinking sand. Er.

It follows a host of dating done by the publisher in its recent release schedule, clearly getting its homework done before Christmas so it can eat mulled pies.

Looking ahead to next year, then, and we can see Phantasy Star Universe expansion Ambition of the Illuminus will be out on 11th January, followed by Ghost Squad, NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams and Universe at War on 25th.

Into February and we have a confirmed date for The Club, followed by promises that Condemned 2, Bleach: Shattered Blade and Bleach: Blade of Fate will also be out that month.

The only title treading unstable ground in "early 2008" is Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games on DS - its Wii counterpart was out last Friday.
