Amazon being the behemoth of commerce that it is, is one of the biggest contenders when it comes to the annual Black Friday savings extravaganza that has gripped the world over the past ten years or so. In all honesty, there's an argument to be made that Amazon is largely responsible for the popularisation and spread of Black Friday as an international thing.

With Amazon Prime memberships making deliveries fast and free for the most part, the company made it easier than ever to avoid the savagery of the Black Friday crowds and shop from the relative comfort of your own home over the Black Friday sales period and, indeed, Cyber Monday and Christmas thereafter.

Now that we've made it all the way to the Friday in Black Friday itself, the deals have kicked off already and we're already on our way towards a bonanza of savings on a variety of products for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and more. First, in the UK, you can pick up a variety of Xbox One S bundles with some selected games for a song. The 500GB models of the console along with your choice of Middle-earth: Shadow of War or Rocket League, along with copies of FIFA 18 or Star Wars Battlefront 2 will cost you £199.99 respectively. If you prefer, you can get an Xbox One S with Forza Horizon 3 with the Hot Wheels DLC and Star Wars Battlefront 2 for the same price.

Over on the PS4 Pro side of things, you can pick up a PS4 Pro 1TB console with and FIFA 18 for £299.99. In addition to that, you can grab a 12-month PlayStation Plus membership for the discounted price of £37.49 at the moment.

Things are a little quiet on the Nintendo Switch side of things, with the console being offered up for its regular price for the time being. Keep your eyes peeled as we approach the big day itself though, as a lightning deal or two might be on the cards.

On the software side of things, some noteworthy offers on Destiny 2 (£29 on Xbox One and PS4), Overwatch: GOTY Edition (£25 on all formats), Forza Motorsport 7 (£29.99 on Xbox One), among others, are the highlights so far.
