XCOM 2's third DLC expansion, Shen's Last Gift, just had a surprise launch tonight.
The add-on follows the exploits of chief engineer Lily Shen, who must infiltrate an ADVENT facility to retrieve her late father's secret final project.
Priced at £7.99, Shen's Last Gift features an all new combat class.
Eurogamer strategy king Chris Bratt considered XCOM 2 to be an essential title.
Console players feeling left out should recall that Firaxis' acclaimed sequel will launch on PS4 and Xbox One on 9th September.
XCOM 2 is currently 40 per cent off as part of Steam's Summer Sale. As such, it will cost £20.99 until 4th July.
