SupComm dev's new project

Comedy console game for 2009.

Where does a developer like Gas Powered Games go after a title like Supreme Commander? Into comedy, according to CEO Chris Taylor, who has said the team's next project will be a side-splitting affair for consoles, which will appear two years from now.

"Actually, well, we've got something we think is going to be very funny, very entertaining," Chris Taylor told our sister site GamesIndustry.biz. "When you get this next game, a couple years from now, and you're like, 'Okay, finally, I get to check out what this guy's talking about,' you're going to sit back, you're going to relax, you're going to enjoy yourself."

Unfortunately he couldn't say anything more about it, but he believes new IP is "king", that the promise of something we haven't experienced is what really motivates us.

For the full interview and his thoughts on next-generation consoles and who he believes is leading the market, head over to GamesIndustry.biz.
