Steam hit Ark: Survival Evolved has already sold 1m copies

Roar.

Ark: Survival Evolved, the dinosaur game currently the top selling title on Steam, has sold one million copies.

It hit the milestone in just 30 days following the 2nd June Early Access launch.

Ark: Survival Evolved is the work of Studio Wildcard, which plans to keep the game in Early Access for around a year, ahead of a full release in June 2016 to coincide with the launch of console versions.

The plan is to release a PlayStation 4 version with Project Morpheus support, an Xbox One version via the ID@Xbox program, and a Steam version that includes Oculus Rift VR support and Steam community features such as Steam Economy and Steam Workshop.

Meanwhile, Studio Wildcard has teamed up with Epic Games to launch Unreal Engine 4 mod tools for Ark. Those who already own the game can now use the editor to mod and share creations via Steam Workshop.
