Sony patent shows unwieldy Move controller dock

Sony is, or at one time was, considering an outlandish controller dock for its Move peripheral, according to a patent uncovered by PlayStation Lifestyle.

The concept, filed back in April 2011 but only recently made public via FreePatentsOnline, shows a bizarre looking controller cradle with articulated handles, an analogue stick and an array of traditional buttons.

There's no indication offered as to exactly how the platform holder sees the idea being implemented. Racing games seem the obvious option, but what on earth are the movable arms for? Have a gander at the diagrams below and guess away.
