SingStar 90s confirmed

Hypercolour is back.

Sony has finally come out and stamped confirmation on SingStar 90s, which will be available on PS2 this August.

New Zealand retailer Gameplanet Store listed the game on its site at the end of May, and the tracklist provided then will be almost entirely replicated here. The only difference is the absence of Horses by Daryl Braithwaite, which will be replaced by Hey Jealousy from Gin Blossoms.

Other than that it's business as usual. You'll get the chance to hoist out your old trendy threads from a bygone era and relive your glory days. There's a video of how to dance like MC Hammer on YouTube somewhere, too, if you really feel like enjoying yourself.

SingStar 90s will be the eighth game in the karaoke series for PlayStation 2, which is responsible for shifting more than seven million copies in PAL regions alone.

It's popularity makes it a key next-generation focus for Sony, whose PS3 version we can't wait to get our hands on later this year. Pop over to Ellie's SingStar PS3 preview to see how it's shaping up.
