Rewind to the turn of the century with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 & 2 track list

Spinning the decks.

It's been 21 years since the original Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, and 20 years since its follow-up. I don't remember every level or skater from those games - but I do remember their soundtracks.

Those early entries are linked indelibly to that time - and to skater culture specifically - because of the jams they included. Happily, almost every track is back for the upcoming Pro Skater 1 & 2 remaster alongside dozens of other tracks from the era.

That means you can listen back to THPS classics like Goldfinger's Superman and Papa Roach's Blood Brothers while skanking to newer additions from Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake and Billy Talent.

(Oh, and despite earlier reports, Kotaku has confirmed a couple more classic tracks have made the cut. By our reckoning, that means only three aren't back from the game's global release - Committed by Unsane, B-Boy Document '99 by The High & Mighty and Out With The Old by Alley Life, alongside three songs originally in PAL versions only - Aim's Ain't Got Time to Waste, Aquasky's Blue Thunder and Grand Unified's Le Hot.)

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 combines remastered versions of both much-loved skating games into one package, and is coming to Xbox One, PS4, and PC on 4th September.

As you'd expect in 2020, online multiplayer is now included, and there's online support for the returning Create-A-Park feature too. Activision also says to expect new goals and challenges. Finally, if you pre-order, you can play a demo of the game's Warehouse level ahead of release.
