Resident Evil 7 - Wrecked Ship, where to find the Fuse for the locked door

A complete walkthrough and guide to each area in Capcom's survival horror adventure.

The Wrecked Ship in Resident Evil 7 follows on from the Mutated Jack boss fight and Boat House and who to cure with the serum between Mia or Zoe, and marks the beginning of a (substantial) new area.

Exploring the start of the Wrecked Ship

When you wake, walk head and investigate the body. After it's taken away, go left and up the red girders to the steps, then up to the door to enter the ship.

Follow the linear corridor round, taking the steps up to Wrecked Ship S1. Be wary there are two Antique Coins in this section that are missable, and we'll point them out as we go. In the room, you have to use the hatch in the floor to the south to progress; wait until the cutscene plays for it to open.

Drop down into the vent, and at the fork, go right and pick up the Antique Coin at the end on the ground. Resume the path the other way to drop down into Wrecked Ship S2.

This Antique Coin in the vents is easy to miss.

Turn the corner and the room ahead will have a few points of interest, including the crew register. Head back out; the bathroom ahead is empty, while the corridor at the end will take you outside.

Check the picture on the wall for some info of your location (it's not a file, so not essential) and watch the cutscene on the steps.

Continue on, up a ladder to Wrecked Ship S1, then drop down into the pit. Investigate the left side of the pool to find an Antique Coin in the water - arguably the hardest to find in the game - out again with the short yellow ladder. At the top of these steps is a cutscene, with the character escaping into the door labelled F1. You need a Fuse to enter, so that's what we'll be looking for.

Finding the Fuse in Wrecked Ship F1

Checking the map, this in almost square corridor with rooms branching off all round. There are crawling Molded patrolling the south and east side, and you won't want to venture there until you're armed, so be patient.

Check the door east of the steps and rummage through the various bins and drawers for resources to find Chem Fluid and in the washing machines, some Machine Gun Ammo.

If you venture so far south, a Molded will drop from the ceiling. Quickly sprint past, get the General Purpose Fuse from the wall, and leave the room; be sure to close the door behind you so it doesn't follow.

This room contains the location of the Fuse you need to collect.

Put the Fuse in the north west door, then take the stairs up two floors to 3F. If you're worried about missing anything in the previous rooms, don't worry, there will be time later.

At the end room you'll see Eveline sitting on the office chair. Grab the Old Videotape and play it on the VHS in order to continue.
