Red Dead Redemption 2 is named...

Red Dead Redemption 2.

Red Dead Redemption 2 has a name, and that name is... Red Dead Redemption 2.

Rockstar has just confirmed the name.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will launch for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next autumn - Fall 2017.

Rockstar's site does not list PC, however - suggesting it will be again looked over for the game's initial release just as happened with Red Dead Redemption 1.

"Developed by the creators of Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America's unforgiving heartland," a blurb for the game reads. "The game's vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience."

Earlier today eagle-eyed fans spotted the fact Rockstar had snapped up the RedDeadOnline.com domain name - it seems certain the game will have a GTA Online-style mode packed in. For a round up of all the available details meanwhile, we've assembled a guide to everything we know about Red Dead Redemption 2.
