Rage system requirements detailed

Free up 25GB of hard disk space.

The PC version of forthcoming id Software shooter Rage demands a hefty 25GB of your machine's hard disk space, publisher Bethesda has revealed.

Other than that, the game's system requirements, as revealed on the Bethesda Blog today, seem fairly manageable.

Here's what you'll need:

Minimum:

  • OS: Win XP SP3, Vista, Win 7
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo or Equivalent AMD
  • Memory: 2GB
  • Hard Disk Space: 25GB
  • Video Card: GeForce 8800, Radeon HD 4200

Recommended:

  • OS: Win XP SP3, Vista, Win 7
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad or Equivalent AMD
  • Memory: 4GB
  • Hard Disk Space: 25GB
  • Video Card: GeForce 9800 GTX, ATI Radeon HD 5550

The console version isn't too far behind - id boss John Carmack revealed last month that the game will be a 21-22GB install on the Xbox 360.
