PUBG gets cross-console play in October

"One of the most requested features since launch".

PUBG players on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will soon be able to face off against each other, as cross-console play has been announced for early October.

During the Inside Xbox Gamescom livestream, PUBG's season four was shown off as well as the cross-play reveal.

The feature will be available to test on the PTR from late September before hitting live servers in October, so you'll have an opportunity to test it out before it's released.

PUBG Season four drops on console on 27th August, with all following console updates landing just two weeks after its release on PC.

The fourth Survival Pass, Aftermath, has over 100 rewards players will need to work together with teammates to earn. There's also a map overhaul and weapon and vehicle rebalancing.

There's no news yet on whether or not PUBG will receive cross-play between PC and console, but Xbox and PlayStation users will finally have an increased pool of players to battle it out against come this autumn.
