PSP perfect for Crush

Kuju boss talks mental puzzler.

Ed Daly, Kuju Brighton studio head, reckons PSP is perfect for his new platform-puzzler Crush, announced yesterday.

"Crush lent itself to PSP because the challenging puzzle gameplay was perfect for the PSP's demographic and each level fits a bite size portable gaming session," he said.

The game will be released in the summer and published by SEGA, something Daly's very chuffed about.

"SEGA has an exceptional record over the years for innovation and in Crush I believe SEGA proved that they are willing to back original, and risky, concepts," he said. "The relationship during development has been very strong with vital creative contributions from SEGA to build on our core vision."

The game itself takes place in a 3D world, which must be crushed into 2D platforms to progress. It's a nifty idea, and from the sound of it Crush isn't going to be Kuju's only quirky title for PSP.

"We've really enjoyed working with the PSP and have a ton of ideas for great PSP titles," said Daly.
