PS3 firmware updated to 1.54

Adds UVC USB webcam support.

And the firmware hits just keep on coming. Sony Computer Entertainment of America has updated the PlayStation 3 firmware to version 1.54, which adds a few new video chat features.

For starters, support has been added for USB webcams that comply with UVC (USB Video Class), while video chat fans will no doubt be ecstatic to learn that the image of the gorgeous young woman/ fat sweaty man on the other end will adapt to fit your particular screen format.

If you have an illegally imported PS3 and fancy performing the update, simply head into the system menu and update via the Internet or, if you prefer, you can download the firmware to your PC via the US or Japanese support sites.

And in other news that makes a change U.S. gamers will have to fork out USD 19.99 for Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection, which compares to the £6.99 'introductory price' being charged for it in the UK when it launches on March 23rd.
