Project Zomboid developers to tell Rezzed audience "How (Not) To Make A Game"

British indie to discuss the joy and despair of their first year of zombie survivalism.

We're happy to announce that Project Zomboid developer The Indie Stone will be doing a developer session this July during Rezzed: The PC and Indie Games Show.

Zomboid's core development team will be in attendance to deliver their talk, "How (Not) To Make A Game", and will discuss the joys and despairs of their first year of zombie survivalism. During the session they'll outline the Dos and Don'ts of indie development, paying particular attention to what one would assume to be common sense.

Chris "Lemmy" Simpson, Marina "Mash" Siu-Chong, Andy "Binky" Hodgetts and Will "Doesn't Have A Famous Nickname" Porter will present their session as part of the Friday 6th July schedule. They'll be on stage at 4pm.

Project Zomboid is an open-world survival horror game set in the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse. Players have to avoid an inevitable death for as long as possible, scavenging for items and barricading themselves inside houses.

"We're in the final build-up to our 0.2.0 release, so it seemed a perfect opportunity to chart the ridiculous journey we've been on for the past year or so," said Will Porter. "Our public test builds have gone down a storm, so the time seemed right."

Rezzed: The PC and Indie Games Show takes place on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th July at the Brighton Centre. Tickets are on sale at Rezzed.com. Everyone who buys one gets a free Dota 2 beta kay.

Attractions at the show include playable versions of Borderlands 2, Far Cry 3 and many others, and our developer session schedule includes Randy Pitchford, Paul Wedgwood and many more.
