@SPEtheridge that makes sense - seems like the games have diverged from the whole stealthy assassin premise. That’s a shame. Grinding is not much fun for sure.

Microsoft Flight Simulator tech review: a brilliant port to Xbox Series X/S

I finally downloaded and got to play this last night on my Xbox SX having had no luck getting it to download on my PC. I played it for an hour and wasn’t impressed to be honest. Deleted it thinking I probably won’t bother again. Reading the other comments here, maybe I’ll give it another try.

@higganos there’s a huge difference between PS Plus and Xbox Gold. By comparison, we get COD Modern Warfare 2 remastered this month.

Personally I don’t have an interest in the Xbox ultimate service as the games are not permanent. I enjoy building my digital and physical collection. It will be a sad day for games preservation, if the industry moves us to the Netflix subscription model for gaming.

I think you’ve helped make up my mind now! Will move onto Steep tonight, which I’ve never spent much time with until now.

If we want Nintendo to continue to invest in innovation in terms of consoles and games in the future, we as gamers have to behave responsibly.

Microsoft confirms first Xbox One games to support its free Series X upgrade scheme

taikuaile

@SBandy the problem with developing games for new consoles is that the customer base is initially small. This means any games launching early in the console’s lifecycle won’t generate much revenue. So what Microsoft are doing here is providing developers with a much bigger commercial incentive to develop games which can sell across platform. So in fact this is financially attractive and good sense.

This also fully aligns with ethos of backwards compatibility and games taking full advantage of the latest technology in the box (enhanced for XBox One X being a case in point).

Although I wholeheartedly agree with the comments about losing the big screen functionality, it’s all about the price point.
