Any fans of the Lone Wolf series - as I was back then - the entire collection of books has been made available online to play in your browser. I found this totally by accident last year, and have been playing through them in my lunch hour when I get the chance - outstanding books, really well written... Project Aon |

Mass Effect 3
Early days though? We all know what E3 is like - you need something brazen to get everyone talking. Maybe a twenty-minute game section of Shepherd discussing the political situation on the Asari homeworld might not have got the journos' attention? I agree ME2 was more shooty than ME1, but am prepared to reserve judgement until next March. Unless ME3 has either a) the Mako, or b) planet scanning - in which case all bets are off... |

Eurogamer.net Podcast #8
One of the problems - which I guess is inherent in all gaming podcasts - is embargos. What's interesting about a reviewer saying what they've been playing that week if they can't even reveal the title? It's not informative if nobody can express any opinions - although I'm not sure what the way round would be. Enjoyed the Nintendo discussion, more of that style please. I guess it's up to the forum to provide more questions then... ;) |

Judge refuses to ban Bully
Thompson called the game a 'Columbine Instruction Manual' - whereas from all I've read about it, it seems more like a 'Grange Hill Instruction Manual'. The man's a delusional fantasist who sees himself as the appointed protector against the inherent evil of videogaming. He should be forgotten as soon as possible (at least until Rockstar's next release). Idiot. |

Nicely written, Ellie. It must be almost impossible to learn first-hand about things those soldiers went through, then have to ask one ofthose soldiers about a computer game. |

The Routecreator sounds interesting. I think this is one of those games that don't force you to buy a console - but if you buy the console you feel you have to get it. If you see what I mean. |

PS3 tops UK poll as most anticipated next-gen console
I've never really understood blatant fanboyism. If you like one of the consoles then surely you like gaming enough to appreciate the other systems on the market too. Sticking solely with one over all the others seems pointless. Even more so when it's because of the company behind the product, rather than the product itself or the games. If you followed football, you support the players and the team they play for - not the chairman or the owner. If you want to live with your disillusions and blank out all but one supplier, then fair enough. I like gaming for what it is, not who it is - so I own consoles by Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo, and enjoy using all of them. |

Xbox 360: £279 with hard disk and more, £209 without
Will the first run of X360's ship with disc trays that screw up after six months like the original xbox? I think I'll wait for 12months and let the teething problems settle before I pick one up. GBP280 at launch is great. Launching two different spec-consoles at once, isn't. |

Xbox 360 to launch in Europe on November 25th - UK sources
But what colour will it be? I paid a lot of money on release for a Playstation, and didn't regret it. I then waited a few months after the PS2 was released and picked one up at the first price reduction, and didn't regret it. I waited about a year after the Xbox was released and bought one for almost half the original RRP, and didn't regret it (apart from the hernia it gave me carrying it home). All good consoles, all well-packaged. That said, I'm glad I waited with the Xbox as I avoided the problems of the disc tray on the earlier models - I've never had a DDE yet. I'll be waiting a while to buy any of the new consoles as there's still plenty to explore on the PS2 and Xbox to keep me going for another 12months until the next-gen lot have settled down. The difference this time compared to the launch of the PS2/Xbox is the current amount of games to be played. You can argue over GBP50 here and there, or the semantics of statements by CEO's, but I look at the amount of games on my 'to buy' list - across all current formats, and I'm content. |

we believe in having opinions so if you feel MS sucks, you might as well come out and say so, instead of just giving lower scores to their games and putting negative spins on stories, sheesh! I'm predicting an anti-Gizmondo EG bias in the very near future then... |
