@Mintydog that's a very interesting statement you made about trust.....
I mean why would anyone in this world trust Sony after they installed rootkits on people computers?
Do you know what's its like to buy a CD with music on it, pop it in your computer only to have it secretly install DRM software on your computer that you can't remove and prevents you from copyng music to your hard drive SECRETLY? And then those DRM software Sony installed was used by malware authors to frig you and your computer over.

At least Microsoft was up front and forth coming with their policies. They told people straight up that you have to connect at 24hr intervals. They didn't do it secretly.

@Mintydog idk. Maybe because one man's shit is another man's gold. People enjoy what they like even if someone else doesn't like it. I personally think that's not such a hard a concept to understand, is it?

Xbox One memory performance improved for production console

@Alcifer I already know what tiled resources are
And also only devs and Microsoft knows how the esram is used in the Xbox one, everything else is just speculation.

The kabini core used in both the Xbox one and playstation 4 have as much as 2mb of L2 cache and 32kb x 8 of L1 cache. Out of the two consoles only The Xbox one has a large 32MB cache on die that could make real use of the tiled resources/sparse textures feature that's built into the hardware as it technically keeps keep the "tiles" close to the CPU-GPU.
On the playstation 4 the parse textures would be kept into main memory which is much farther from the CPU-GPU.

@Alcifer I see what you're saying about the feature being baked into the hardware....however I don't think the ps4's architecture can take advantage of that feature without probably taking a performance hit because essentially the GPU doesn't have any cache.

So out of 8 cores, 2 are reserved for the OS, so 6 is left for games. Hmmm.

@Negotiator1 so true. and from what I've been reading in the comments they feel they're pretty much justified in doing so...because apparently Microsoft drink all their milk and left them with pure dry cereal....and you know you can't eat cereal without milk......

@Sunsprie tell you the truth, and I might be voted down for saying the truth but PS+ titles aren't "free games". I said that because that's what ps+ subscribers pay for.
whether people want to say they're rented games or not, is not my point.
