The best launch titles ever: Super Monkey Ball on GameCube
| Brilliant game, skill level to the max. The speedruns of this make you weep. This and f zero being by the same team and same engine we're a real triumph. If you could bottle that magic. |

Nvidia pays an Arm and a leg for UK chip designer
| @drxym The FTSE is completely stagnant compared to the US markets. Tesla, Netflix, zoom, PayPal, fiverr, amd, Nvidia, Etsy, Facebook, Microsoft, Amazon, Apple etc etc, all growth stocks in the US. Can't think of anything comparable in the UK. |

Ubisoft is trying to make its games more varied
| @EnterAlterEgo perhaps but that is one franchise they're making bigger and better each time or at least trying to. Ubisoft have made all their games follow similar mechanics rather than trying to max out each franchise individually. |

Good for them. I remember this being released and thought it would crash and burn and it turned into a real phenomenon. Good work. |

Nintendo speaks a little too directly to fans at E3
| @Yautja_Warrior Be fair here. Gaming has changed and hyping games with incremental updates that are of narrow scope at the expense of other games of arguably more potential in shaping the future gaming landscape and breathing new life into less well trodden genres is always going to be met by nerdier gamers and journalists with a groan rather than excitement. |

Excellent article Oli. Nintendo seem to be a company that perform and make off the wall genius moves when they're back is against the wall. When they're flying they seem to get lazy. As Oli pointed out if they can get away with a below par E3, now's the time. Metroid, Retro's game, Yoshi and so on are presumably still happening and those teams may aswell concentrate on dev rather than creating a trailer for a direct when they don't have to. It may turn out to be a brilliant move. N are likely trying to raise the profile of Smash to make it comparable to Mario Kart, if it works great, if it fails, it probably won't dent them in any case.still anooying for the fans though. |

They spell it correctly at the end of the article but not in the middle.
