Bio

Have spent waaaaay too much on consoles and video games over the years.

Grew up in the 80's and started with a woodie Atari 2600, that broke so got the cheap plastic one as a replacement.

As a teenager I got the console bug bad and my parent bought me a Sega Master System with Hang On. However due to reading such publications as C&VG & Mean Machines I decided to up the ante and over the following 10 or so years funded & purchased:

Megadrive (UK)
Super Famicom (Jap)
SNES (US)
Neo Geo (Jap)
Super Gun
Atari Jaguar (US)
Pansonic 3DO (US)
Sega Saturn (Jap)
Playstation (Jap)
N64 (Jap)
Playstation (US)
Dreamcast (Jap)
Playstation 2 (UK)
Gamecube (US)
X-Box 360 (UK)
PS3 (UK)
Nintendo Wii (UK)
Wii U (UK)

Most of my consoles from the 90's were Jap NTSC imports converted to display an RGB picture. Once I'd seen the light I wasn't interested in inferior UK PAL consoles with black borders & slower running games. Import games back then from shops like Sheekana, Console Concepts & Advanced Console Entertainment used to cost £80-90 a title. I dread to think how much cash I spent over the years, it must be near to £15k, literally.....

Handhelds I have owned include:
Gameboy
PC Engine GT
Atari Lynx
GP32
GP2X Wiz
3DS XL

Also managed to obtain a few questionable devices in my time, most noticeably a Super Wild Card DX & Doctor V64. Who else had a Gameboy 52 games in 1 cartridge? Still remember picking that up from a shop in Spain whilst on holiday.

Computer wise I started out with a Spectrum 48k. I've also owned an Amiga 500, Pentium 486 & a Quad Core 4.

These days I tend to game on my PC. Here is my spec:

Core i5 2500 @ 4ghz
16gb DDR3 RAM
GTX 980
Acer XB270H G-Sync monitor
Samsung Evo 850 SSD + 2 x 2TB storage drives
Phanteks Enthoo Pro Mid Tower + Noctuna Case Fans
Corsair H80iGT CPU cooler + Noctuna industrial fans
Zowie FK1 mouse
Microsoft X4 Sidewinder Keyboard
Kingston Hyper X2 Cloud Headphones

Anyway hope you enjoyed the read. Look forward to bumping into you on the forums :0)
