WHAT DEVICE IS THIS ON?! I keep giving you guys feedback. Your website needs to be clearer in telling us how we can buy this game. I like it but can’t see easily what device I will be able to get it on. Btw, I’m a website designer. Fantastic website otherwise. |

Building Xbox Series X: why Microsoft redefined the console form factor
| Looks cool and all but where will I put it under my TV? I think many, if not most consumers will be put off by its dimensions. I think this is quietly the biggest mistake MS have made and yet again will critically impact sales. How on earth have they made yet another critical mistake, so early on. |

The next Xbox is called... Xbox Series X
|
Apple got their marketing right when they started releasing different variations of the same product year after year. Xbox series X is basically Xbox X. Xbox S will follow soon. Then Xbox Q or something for cloud only gaming. They’ve just gone with a similar structure to the Apple Watch series naming. |

Luigi's Mansion 3 is Nintendo Switch's biggest launch this year
|
@OllyJ Most people don't read reviews or gaming websites... do you know that? Literally none of my friends are like me. I daren't even tell them I comment on this site. It's embarrassing. My friends are in their 30's, have wives, kids etc. None of them would visit a gaming website. They just see COD, Fifa, Ghost Recon style games and go buy them. |

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has a special message for players who keep shooting the baby
|
Nah, I don’t like that one bit. I’ve never been one to complain about anything in a video game but shooting a mother with a baby... that’s just sick. Let alone shooting the baby, even if you can’t properly see it. You have to have children to understand why I say that. |

Ubisoft delays Watch Dogs Legion, Gods & Monsters, Rainbow Six Quarantine
|
Good because I really think Ubisoft are on the cusp of ‘losing it’. Recent games have felt like sloppy copies of previous models and they are not innovating in any way. If I was a shareholder I would be worried. They need to fact facts, reset and go back to the drawing board before it’s too late. |

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint review - a limp and lifeless spin on the Ubisoft formula
|
@villevalo Sorry to point out the obvious but Ubisoft own Ghost Recon and if they say this and Wildlands are Ghost Recon, then they are Ghost Recon. To be brutally honest, they don't care what you think. They are Ghost Recon games because Ubisoft say they are. This IS the direction they have taken them. |

How PlayStation 4 Pro is evolving into a great 1080p games machine
|
Wow, I was in this predicament one year ago when I was asking everyone here if I should get the Pro for my 1080p TV. It took a while to decide but I ended up keeping my original PS4. Now you write this article. Too late! We're too close to the PS5. |

@GADG3Tx87 I recently got back into trading my games in. I buy a new game, finish it, a few weeks later trade it in for another new game and that new game will only cost £20. Days Gone was £20 after I traded Sekiro. |

Nintendo's off-kilter approach to the generation game just let it storm E3
|
Enough to play this year? I see zero innovation. The Switch is incredibly overhyped, possibly helped by all of the niche indie games. Niche being the key word. Niche doesn’t appeal to the mass market. I’m bored of playing 80’s and 90’s style games. I’ve played Mario Maker on Wii U and it appears as though there’s nothing original this year apart from Luigis Mansion. I don’t want remakes. Heck, even Days Gone on PS4 offered more originality than most mainstream Switch games. There’s nothing! Geeks love it, yes, but where’s the massive, original and innovative first party games? |

Apex Legends revenue tumbles by 74% in two months
|
@jetsetwillie No one is saying it does. The article is talking about the loss in revenue. Gaming companies are only bothered about one thing: revenue. They need their game to be the best and most popular. In this case, Apex is drastically falling in popularity, which is a huge concern and a big reflection on how their game isn't actually that good. |

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout gets Hardcore mode today
|
Blackout is far, far better than Apex. Apex is for kids. It’s crazy. Blackout strips away all the silly stuff you get in battle royals and puts your pure shooting skills front and centre. I personally much prefer playing in a realistic shooter which is why I’m also looking forwars to Battlefield Firestorm. |

Tetris 99 might be the best battle royale yet
| @Bludsh0t haha, I totally agree. Also, eliminating other players couldn’t be more different. There’s a vast difference in using one type of skill to aim, shoot and kill someone to playing Tetris well to eliminate someone. |

UK video game sales now 80% digital
|
Funny how all those non-digital buyers still get so confused over why we buy digital. I find it quite embarrassing tbh. It's like listening to my mum in the 2000's when I was trying to tell her to go digital from music CDs or my backwards work colleague who still buys every movie Blu Ray and says "I will never buy digital, I don't get it". Eventually you will all go digital. You just don't know it yet. Personally I love having the convenience of swapping games without swapping discs (like music CD days). I happily pay more for that and for not having to be really careful with a physical disc which seems old fashioned to me. |

The Eurogamer team's favourite games of 2018
|
Just a few days before the end of the year I’ve picked up Assassins Creed Odyssey. God of War was my favourite game of 2018 but OMG... where did Odyssey come from. It’s amazing and COULD be my new game of the year. I didn’t like the previous Assassins Creed games. I wasn’t expecting much from this but for £25 and hearing lots of big names say how good it was, it’s worth a try. Not only is Odyssey more fun (so far) than GoW, it has more packed in. More variety in quests and gameplay. I did not expect ship warfare or full-on battles on the warfields at the end of a quest. I didn’t even expect dungeon-like caves to explore but it’s all there. If you haven’t played Odyssey yet, I urge you to try it. 1. GoW (just nips it for now whilst I continue Odyssey). 2. AS Odyssey. 3. Fortnite. 4. Red Dead 2. 5. Spider-Man. |

Fallout 76 players say the Atom shop prices are getting out of hand

Diablo Immortal is surprisingly good, what little consolation that may be
|
You all only hate the Diablo announcement because deep down you know mobile is a threat to console gaming. Anything that is a threat to oneself usually receives a defensive / aggressive stance. Secondly, I back micro-transactions as it doesn't feel like a threat to me. Developers are earning a lot of money from them because people are buying them. Supply and demand. Fair play to whoever came up with the idea first. |

PES 2019 review - patience on the pitch, a shambles off it
|
Football games are all about the experience. FIFA gameplay might not be quite as good but nothing beats online co-op with a good mate. We’ve racked up hundreds of games online and we’re a truly winning combination. No multiplayer game comes close to the feeling I get from co-op Fifa. I’m quite a hardcore gamer too. Not ashamed to say this about Fifa. PES is just too shoddy. I agree with your comments about the menus, it’s ludicrously bad in 2018. |

Hands-on with the deluxe PS4 Pro 500 Million Limited Edition
|
‘Beautiful piece of hardware’. Wow. It’s probably the cheesiest, most tacky piece of product design I’ve seen for a long time. As a designer, we maybe have a different eye but one thing I’ve always thought is that game reviewers or hardcore gamers have a serious lack of an eye for good design. The tackier and flashier the better for you guys! |

FIFA 19 gameplay is all about the animations
| FIFA is simply an amazing football game. There, I’ve said it. I don’t care. We’re just spoilt these days but I don’t think any football game in history is as good as FIFA. I grew up playing Sensible Soccer and Kick Off, so I think my opinion is worthwhile. ISS comes a close second (N64). |

Captain Toad on Switch is excellent - but 3DS is the real surprise
|
For those moaning about Wii U ports... I had a Wii U but never played it. Just thought it was an awful piece of hardware. I got a Switch day one. These ports are fantastic as I’ve never played them. They feel so polished (and obviously are by now). I tried the Toad demo and wow, I love it and will definitely buy it. There you go. I’m the target market and willing to spend £35. I didn’t even realise it was a port until a gaming website told me! Think about how many people will buy these games as the Wii U was truly awful and I don’t know anyone who bought it. |
