Destiny now available to pre-purchase on Xbox One

It's the equivalent of 30 on the hong Kong store via the Xbox one marketplace. Change the location in settings and add a bogus HK address for your billing address when prompted (it does not use it to verify your credit card). Just used that method to buy diablo 3 (22) and I noticed Destiny is up on that store too if you search for it.

Will continue to buy from the Xbox one US store in that case. Much more reasonable.

PlayStation 4 PSN game prices will be adjusted ahead of EU launch

dunny

I have been reading on GAF that on xbox one you can switch to the US store and order with a UK credit card (albeit with a fake or dummy US address).

If this is the case, and with all games being region free, that means new games for $60, which is about 37 quid. Much more reasonable and would entice me to go more ore less 100% digital. I am going to try it tonight.

Anyone know if this is likely to be the case for PS4?

EDIT: added linkage for those interested

Streaming issues hit PSN digital version of Grand Theft Auto 5

I've not personally noticed any popup on my PSN version of GTA. Certainly not enough to be worried about. Maybe it's my eyes! But I agree that it sucks to be getting a technically inferior version for a premium price.

EA: FIFA 12 PC same as console versions

Awesome! Playing FIFA 11 at 1080p with a silky smooth framerate was a great experience. It was just a shame the features weren't all there. Very much looking forward to 12 on the PC now.

'What Macbook Pro's come with those graphics cards? Just the new (release a few months ago) 13" and above?'

The 15in MacBook Pro that came out in Autumn 2008 has a 9600m GT. The 15in that came out a few months ago is a step up from that (not sure of the card). The 13in that came out a few months ago still has an integrated card (albeit newer) so not sure how it stacks up against the 2008 9600m GT

Jackson death won't affect Beatles RB

When i read the title of this article i jumped to the conclusion that it was because the Paul McCartney/Michael Jackson duet 'the girl is mine' was on the tracklist! Then i realised Paul McCartney solo does not equal the Beatles....

ooh... i'll be interested to see how the introduction of the new 120gb hard drive effects the price of 2nd hand 20gb ones. Considering you can get a Core for very cheap now maybe that could be a nice cheap way to get a fully-specced 360 (i'd get a VGA cable anyway and don't mind having a wired cable tbh).

Failing that.... bring down the price of a Premium Mr Microsoft!!

Watch movies on your DS

Is it just me or is the DS becoming an altogether more enticing prospect in 2006?

I bought one at the Jap launch but sold it soon after because there were no good games on coming the immediate horizon, a decision i now regret.

I currently own a PSP but there is very little games-wise that appeals to me at the moment. To be honest i use it for watching video for the majority of the time.

But 2006 seems to be the year of the DS- what with the lite version out soon, a good few games to get excited about, a competative price point, well-established wifi network, and now video and web-browser functionality (albeit at a price). I think might be tempted to re-invest at some point this year...

Anyone else agree/disagree?
