PUBG PC patch finally brings emotes
| @Bilbur - I know it's the wrong game, but I completely agree! I don't mind being killed instantly with a headshot from a hand cannon or a revolver as it takes a little more risk/skill from your opponent, but I've been on the receiving end of quite a few cheap shotgun deaths. I actually don't bother with them anymore myself - I've (finally) fallen in love with the SMG for close-range kills. |

Castle Crashers dev's outlandish turn-based strategy Pit People leaves Early Access next week
| Castle Crashers was absolutely fantastic - one of those 360 games that I'd always go back to when playing co-op with little relatives. It's a shame that Scott Pilgrim is now so difficult to buy/play as that's another side-scrolling classic. |

Night in the Woods is getting a free Director's Cut update in December
| I've been hovering over the 'buy' button on the PSN store a few times - I think this has just pushed me over the edge. I'm a little disappointed to see that it didn't receive any kind of discount in the Halloween Sale, though - but then I'm a tight-fisted g*t. |

Remember Sensible Soccer? Jon Hare returns with Sociable Soccer
|
Oooh, I was talking about Sensi just the other day - it's the cause of my love of all things football-related. I really couldn't have been less interested in the game of the inflated bladder before my brother/friends decided to start playing this religiously on the Amiga. I spent hours editing in a 'horror film' team - Krueger and Leatherface up front (RIP Gunnar Hansen) were unstoppable against the mghty Reykjavik and CSKA Sofia. If this game has just an OUNCE of the original's charm then I'll be ditching the Pro Evos and Fifas for ever. |

"The reality is we're not really interesting"
|
I've sold/donated all of my CDs over the past few years. The only thing I kept was the original Vice City soundtrack box-set. It introduced so many artists/genres to me - stuff I would never have thought about listening to, especially the Espantoso collection - Mongo Santamaria, Benny More, Tito Puente etc. Thank you, Rockstar North! |

After Lemmings was a hit, DMA Design declared war with Walker
|
I usually try to stay out of the derp-factory that is the EG frontpage comment's sections - BUT I will make an exception for this game. One of my favourites from the amazing Amiga era. I'd play it with my friend - one controlling the machine and the other controlling the shooting. Never got close to completing it, but it was fantastic fun - and the animations on the smaller sprites were fantastic. Please - don't wreck our wonderful rose-tinted memories by bringing it back as some kind of horrific mobile game! |

Congrats, guys! Congrats, EG! It really is BY FAR my favourite place on the Internet - and these guys make it an extremely helpful/fun/erotic place to 'hang out' (especially after Teletext killed Digitiser - husssssss) - even though I'm sometimes too damned lazy to officially log myself in...preferring instead to wander the forum, anonymously, like a lost soul (or Fruit on GI). I also love to tell others (mainly those who tell me that it's a waste of time) that it saved my life! I started up a thread a few years ago querying appendicitis after convincing myself that I had it - 'real-life people' (including NHS Direct) all told me that it was a pulled muscle/trapped wind. It was only after fellow forumite, Speedofthepuma, told me to go straight to A&E that I got back out of bed and went to get it checked out. My appendix had already started to assplode! I owe you my life, EG (even though you've cruelly and selfishly swallowed-up so much of it). |

Telltale: "There may very well be more Walking Dead ... before season two"
|
How about actually 'playtesting' the thing before release, TT? Take your time and make sure the thing is free of bugs. The 360 version was a nightmare when it came to game-breaking glitches and deleted saved games. The option to manually 'select' previous game-changing options at the start of each episode would help to fix this. Twice I've got as far as episode 3, only for it to fail to recognise my previous selections. The Steam version would crash whenever I tried to load it, too - the only game that has ever given me this kind of headache on my PC. It's a fantastic little game when it works...which is never. |

The Walking Dead dev offers season pass to those with 4GB Xbox 360 issues
|
I posted about this in the forum a few months ago. It's good to hear that TT has acknowledged the fact that there's a problem (even though they never responded to any of my E-mails or forum posts). I had my saves 'erased' at least three times on the 360 version. More than a little annoying - I would have given up on the thing if the game wasn't so fun. I purchased the PC version via Steam so that I could actually finish the thing...it would crash every time I tried to start it up. Hnnnnn! At least the US version of Amazon were kind enough to refund me. The bloody thing is obviously cursed but I'm not going to give up. Back To The Future was similar - bugged to hell but annoyingly addictive. Let's hope that the success of The Walking Dead will allow TT to improve their pre-release testing. |
