| The story in the first game was tripe but the gameplay loop was fantastic. This sounds like more of the same but improved upon.. hell, I'll be buying it. I wasn't expecting to enjoy the first game but ended up loving it. |

Rebellion's Strange Brigade is a jolly refreshing romp

Dark Souls 3 review
|
I loved Dark Souls but, admittedly was utter shit at it. I only got as far as defeating the Bell Gargoyles and realised pretty quickly that I didn't have the time/skill/inclination to dedicate to it. You lot have fun though and I'll be watching the streams. :) |

Ubisoft polls public on future Far Cry settings
|
Poole, Dorset should be on the list. Chav killing would be the main point of the game, along with possible zombie chavs. Pick up empty Stella cans to exchange for ammo, you'd never run out of bullets if you shopped for them at CEX.. and of course you get the free pubes for stitching your wallet. |

Work on Lords of the Fallen 2 has begun
| It's a decent, solid game. There are a few niggling issues but it's pretty much a surprisingly good game, for me at least. I'll definitely be interested in LotF 2. |

Video: Why you might not want to pre-order The Order
|
I like cinematic games, personally, so I guess we're all very different in our tastes as gamers. I can rarely get into indie games for some reason but I know people like them so good on 'em for that. I'll be getting this unless it is a totally broken wreck, the setting absolutely does it for me, and as I said, for me cinematic games work. QTE's? Meh, it's all part and parcel of the cinematic gaming experience and until they figure out a better way of working it I'm happy to keep playing these types of games, and shock horror for the forumites, even Cage's games. |

Dragon Age: Inquisition bug preventing companion banter
| I haven't heard much banter either, up until I put Cassandra and Blackwall into the party together, they won't shut up and I'm sure they're secretly flirting. |

Bloodborne delayed by a month
|
Ahh, that's a good delay for me, I'll be buying The Witcher for Feb, then. Totally off topic but do any of you guys know whether Bloodborne is going to be about the same difficulty as DS? I just couldn't commit the time to that game because of the learning curve and RL time available. I'm hoping BB is going to be a bit more forgiving |

Face-Off: Lords of the Fallen
|
@n0signal I agree, the game is great fun besides the problems but, there can be a noticeable drop in frames. Luckily I'm not sensitive to it but I know others are. All in all I'm more than happy with my purchase (PS4) and I'm probably only about a third of the way through having only just beaten the graveyard boss last night. Great game, imo. :) |

Lords of the Fallen review
| Looks good to me, it's getting decent scores even though it's being compared to DS, not bad at all. I think I'll be getting this, seeing as I'm one of the lucky ones that never notices screen tearing. |

10-minute Dragon Age: Inquisition gameplay demo
|
@Cimeas As with Ubi games I tend to ignore those after a while. I find it fun to dig out stuff initially and then just want to get on with the campaign.. so at least they're optional. And the guy in the vid says the campaign will last about 50 hours in DA:I. I'm happy with that having enjoyed Origins, sadly I never got round to playing the second game but it doesn't sound like I missed a stunner. So far my will is tipping into buying this although I do want to see more gameplay. |

Assassin's Creed: Unity was teased in Brotherhood, writer reveals
|
I have no idea at the moment what's going on with the Animus side of things, but I'm plodding my way through AC4 and generally enjoying it. I'm not that fussed about the Abstergo side really... more pirating please. I did notice that when in one of the Abstergo bits and bobs that there was a poster for a setting in the Himalayas, hasn't it been announced that the Farcry 4 setting will be there? I wouldn't be surprised if there will be some secret hints in that game that link up to AC in a loose and mind boggling way. Maybe all there game worlds will link up in the end.. ooeer. |

Rockstar advises GTA 5 players avoid garages until a bug is fixed
| Ahh, this it explains it, I thought I was doing something wrong but now I know where my cars and bikes are going. I've only been playing the game for a handful of hours and just assumed that I wasn't parking them in the garage correctly, phew :)... luckily the handful I've lost are all crap :) |

BioWare announces Mass Effect 3: Citadel, the final single-player DLC
|
I can understand why people are pissed at this, but personally I love the ME universe and am looking forward to it, and Omega, once the price drops on both. For really crappy DLC I vote Pinnacle Station as utter tripe. I just started another run through of ME1 with the intention of playing through all three games, but that DLC made me switch off last night, it is truly dire compared to what's been on offer for all the ME games. |

Rage: The Scorchers rating suggests DLC for Rage inbound
|
I liked Rage, I wouldn't say it was great but I did have fun playing. The gun-play was great, graphics were top notch... although I would've loved to have seen the days turn to night. Everything was so bright on that first section. The story was what let it down, imo. The ending was just.. ugh, lame. But I do hope they can build on the world and game in general. |

Dragon's Dogma Review
|
@vocalgirth Fair enough and I'm glad you're giving us your opinion, it's worth reading both sides without it all getting fanboyish and venomous, cheers :) I will admit that the camera was 'not the best' when I tried the demo and I found myself and the camera practically nailed against the wall while fighting the chimera, at times. I still have my fingers crossed though :) |

@vocalgirth I think the lack of healing might be due to you not using the 'help' command.. that was in the demo and worked a treat. Hopefully they haven't binned that for the full game? Also it's meant to be difficult at night time and if you travel off the path, 'thar be danger' for real it seems. Still, I don't yet have my copy (cry) but it should turn up tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to playing it. |

Crysis 3 announcement inbound, Swedish magazine suggests
|
Heh, I really enjoyed Crysis 2, I thought the combat was excellent, fast paced and well balanced.. oh... besides the awful AI. Story was ok, I didn't feel that I needed to be informed of the previous game/addons to enjoy it. I had never played Crysis so, once it was released on the xbox as a downloadable game I bought it off the back of the strengths of Crysis 2. And, no surprises, it ended up being quite good, I don't think it was as polished as 2, and I'm not sure why everyone thought it was open world.. I didn't get that impression at all. But hey, two good games so I'm interested in hearing more about the third installment. |

Retake Mass Effect 3 protest claims victory after BioWare vows to address controversial ending
|
Finished this last week and have been mulling the end over ever since. While I don't hate the ending, I was disappointed. I was expecting all the choices I had made throughout all 3 games to make a difference, unfortunately it didn't seem to work out that way. If the indoctrination theory is correct I hope that Bioware were just waiting until as many people had finished the game as possible and are going to release the Final DLC so we can see what was really happening while Shepherd was making his choice with the Catalyst child. I'd like it if they released a short movie showing what was happening around Shepherd, where his friends were, how they were reacting to him presumably rolling around on the floor battling with the indoctrination, how the battle with the Reapers actually panned out, again, presumably that's finally decided by which option you chose.... and lastly, tying up all the loose ends. I'd like that, but whether that will happen.. lol |
