I just finished playing the demo and wow, this game is amazing! If you're reading this, do yourself a favor and download the 3-hour demo that's available on Steam. A fourth of the game is free to try. Needless to say, I had a total blast playing it. It's 50% off until January 2 and it's more than worth it for the current price. Thank you, Eurogamer, for featuring this game! It's a great indie game that has gone under the radar of many gamers. Hopefully this article will popularize the game a little more and help out the devs. I think it has probably sold way less than it deserves so far, but it's never too late to change that. |

Tropico 5 announced for 2014 on PC, Mac, Xbox 360

It's great to see Haemimont Games do so well with the Tropico series because they are from my country! Despite a few flaws in the past two games, they are very enjoyable. The setting, atmosphere and music of the Tropico games are great and the gameplay is solid. I can confidently say that Tropico 3 and 4 were arguably the best city-building games in the last few years. Tropico 4 was a little too similar to the previous installment, but for 5, they have a longer development cycle. If it comes out in the second half of the year similarly to T3 and T4, the developers will have had around three years to work on it, as opposed to two. Hopefully putting that time to good use and making the city-building game we all want! |

So the Xbox One will have NO restrictions on used games. What about PS4? Didn't Sony say that this would be the case only for the first party games? That DRM/reselling of third party games would be up to the publishers? If this is true, then Xbox One might have a huge ace up its sleeve - but it depends on whether publishers impose restrictions on their PS4 games. If I'm misunderstanding Sony's stance on used third party games, please do enlighten me. EDIT: Why the downvotes? I'm not trolling, I'm asking an honest question. |

| @samharper That isn't as much of a problem as it being a pretty crappy game. The gameplay sucks and feedback on what went wrong and why is almost non-existent. You don't have any real control over the development and you get punished for making non-standard games or for straying from the pre-set prerequisites for a "good" game. |

SimCity servers appear to be coping as game hits UK
We added more servers to accommodate the launch in Australia and Japan, and then more yesterday to accommodate the launch in Europe. As of right now, we are adding even more servers which will be going live over the next three days. And our plan is to continue to bring more servers online until we have enough to meet the demand, increase player capacity and let more people through the gates and into the game.Just you wait, a few months from now when everyone will have abandoned the game because it has no depth and no lasting appeal, EA will take down most of the servers and only leave a couple for each region. In a year or two the servers will probably be shut down completely because it will be "no longer feasible to continue the behind-the-scenes work involved with keeping these games up and running." |
